I think I'm going to get this case:
CM 590: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … k=cm%20590

Do I want more air exhausting from case, or coming into case.

If someone could draw a diagram on a pic or something, I would appreciate it.

I might go with HAF 922, but this is easier on my budget.

HAF 922: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6811119197

EDIT: all fan slots will be filled except the one behind Motherboard

May I recommend you an Antec 1200?

Might be a dust magnet, but the tornadoes are worth it imo.

antec 1200, HAF922 are both HUGE cases. If you got a full sized board it might make sense and look ok, but if you had a microATX board in an HAF922 it would be pretty hilarious and total overkill as far as the case is concerned.

The HAF is a great case for the price, I would pick it over the 1200 or 900 any day. except its ugly as can be. If they would build a HAF 932 with simple classy lines for the same price I would buy it in a second.
EDIT: also within that price range you could also get a Coolermaster 690 which is great looking and quite functional, one of the better bang for buck cases imo.

Yeah I really like my 690, which by the way is essentially the 590 with exterior panels added.  All it adds internally are the HDD mounting system the 590 uses the 4 in 3 modual, and the bottom fan.

Wow the HAF932 is 120 bucks... I have been waiting to pick one up and now i thik i will...
I have seen all 3 cases in real life and the HAF932 is like a Buick...lol... Very big and solid with crazy airflow
The 1200 is good looking and it moves a ton of air but it just doesn't seem as sturdy as the HAF932(and i have an antec 1080 case right now)
the 590 is sturdy but the airflow is a little less than the 2 bigger cases...not that it would affect your temps too much...

and you want the front fans to suck in air and the rear fans to exhaust air...  and side fans blowing in to the case and the rear and top fan exhausting the hot air...(on the haf932 and the 1200 with top fans)

I think the HAF 932( full tower) is $138.99
HAF 922(mid tower)  is $120

Also: 590 has 2 top fan slots @ back, should I fill all slots if I get that?(has like 7-8 slots for fans)

and why is the 922 wider than 932?(that's what i assume from the specs on newegg, anyway...)

ahh... i didn't see that it was a haf922... I didn't know they made a 922...
I am still going to get a 932 eventually...

Free shipping on either is nice

That's what led me to it, It's $11 more at Micro Center, and the free shipping from newegg makes that not worth it since there is no effect on the price from newegg due to shipping charges.

I have the 932 and it is great. Needs cleaning often though, as of the dust it attracts.

It's all about the airflow. My temps dropped 10-15C from my old case when I made the switch.

Ehh, for a little less than the 922 you can grab a NZXT Tempest-the quality of mine is perfect and its cooling is amazing.

The HAF is wonderful. I would've gotten it, but it's incredibly heavy for a mid-sized case, which wouldn't do for all of my moving around (college). It has the best airflow for the price. It also is highly customizable according to my friend.

Sounds pretty good from reviews, I don't need all the LED's, but would live with them. I'm planning to put in my room, and they might be annoying at night when I try to go to sleep, but I could just turn it off at night.

My build plans:

Proc: q9550/PII 940
RAM: 8gb ddr2 1066
mobo: see earlier post
Cpu cooler: Xigmatek HDT-RS1283
GFX: EVGA GTX 260/275 (depending on price in a couple months)
HDD: f1 750 gb

Windows Vista/7 upgrade

Luckily you don't have to connect them to the mobo and the only fan that has them is the one on the side panel-it's not that bright (those pics make it look much brighter than it is)...if it bothers you too much you can always cover it up with a piece of cardboard or something at night ...I guess the sounds of the fans, although quiet, would bother me more than the LEDs

That's blatantly an Antec 900 with a few angles thrown on the front and top.

I can sleep through any noise, and slight noise helps me fall asleep, probably from getting used to the muffled noises of my neighbors partying all night, all the time.

Light makes it harder for me to go to sleep than noise.

EDIT: would the CM 590 be good enough?
I want to keep my budget down as much as possible, and it is cheap. I was also looking @ CM 690, but people said in reviews it could be hard to reach some cable to the top audio ports and stuff, apparently. I kind of like the look of the 590 better though...

would this be better or same compared to xigmatek Heatsink? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6835608002

If you want a good midrange case CM690 is the one of the best. The Antec P180 is better but slightly more expensive.

If you want one around the $120 mark I would go for the Antec P183 ($140)-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … tec%20P183
It is an amazing case.

If you want go even higher go for the CM cosmos 1000/1010.

Don't go for any numbered antecs e.g. (300, 900, etc.)

Personally I would  go for the CM690, but that's because I'm poor and I would rather spend on other components, but if you have the money go for it. It depends on your budget I would choose out of one of those.

I have the 932 HAF its awesome for cooling, I got pics in this thread - http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=7005&p=50

I have the side fan switched off as i feel it disturbes air flow.

As for the airflow, overpressure is the way to go. I have 5 intake fans (3 at front, 2 at sides) and 1 exhaust (back) on my Antec P182. I simply covered the top spot since I don't have a fan there. This setup gives me the lowest temps that I've experienced.

I have the P182, it's amazing. The P183 should be as good, if not better.

Plus, free shipping is , it saved me a bunch, because the case does weigh a lot. (31lbs, 14.05kg)
