If you are having problems with VOIP, is mic plugged into the front of your computer or the mic jack in the back of your computer? I have discovered that BF2 VOIP only works when plugged into the mic on the soundcard on the back of the computer. I have a Creative Audigy card and it will not work plugged into the external unit that came with the card. As I kill mics quickly when plugged into the back I don't use that mic jack, so I can't use VOIP. Teamspeak works great though.
Make sure the Windows Volume Control on the toolbar hasn't muted your microphone. It always does that to me whenever I join a server. Its as easy as alt-tabbing back to the desktop though to fix it.
I have the same problem as someone above. Teamspeak works fine. VOIP setup runs fine. Then when I enter a game, TS stills work but VOIP does nothing. VOIP does not turn itself off or disable itself, it just does not send. I ran 2 computers side by side and when looking at the other monitor, the VOIP light comes on when I push the talk button, but no sound comes out of the speakers. I can hear other people fine when they use VOIP. Of course they keep talking to me because they think I have VOIP but I can't talk back. It was so annoying I eventually disabled VOIP and just use Teamspeak. VOIP quality is terrible anyway compared to TS but it would be nice to yell at some n00b who just punished me because I was on one side of the map, my claymore on the other, and an enemy trips it killing the teammate. Oh, I have onboard realtek sound, setting set to software.
I have also problem with mic. then i tryed BF2voicesetup i come a error: COULD NOT read localizatoin data, defoult set to eglish.. WHY?

The best known method to fix this is currently to go to Start -> Run, type dxdiag, go to the Audio tab and then move the Acceleration slider down to Basic.
This should help all of u who have VOIP problems, Peace Boris

If your using a creative card. They have an auto update. It just scans you card and drivers and auto downloads the updates. Very handy. Worth a shot.
