I'm on the verge of buying a player but need knowledge on a few things first, so have any of you guys set the player region free? Any problems with doing so? Will the player run any region DVD's too after the change?
I got a hold of one of those remotes that removes the region lock on my panasonic blu ray. Plays all the DVDs but truth be told I dont have a blu ray from outside europe. I think they work anyways, if I remember correctly only one studio blocked multi region.

Australia is in the same region as Europe now instead of El Salvador and other miscellaneous dirt piles, so I'm happy.

You can rent it off them, I think for like two weeks, pick your machine, they code it, send you the remote with instructions and you essentially just push the button and it unlocks the machine, and send it back.
My mate got one from them, and I have the same player (panasonic BD30), hold the green button for 5 seconds and your done.
Your essentially paying to rent the remote, I think he paid like £20 for it so I gave him the £10 and sent it back myself.
Less than what that robbing bastard quoted me to chip it, and I didnt have to go without my player for a week while they break it
