Man that looks awesome. Where the hell do the HDD's go though?Nic wrote:

Lot of work.
What evs though, your better off waiting on the Obsidian. Maybe with it being pushed back, it means some improvement or new features..
Haha yeah not really case of my type due to few things. Missing HDD cage is one of them.

Ah, that's how it works. The HDD cages mount over the fans, giving you presumably a possibility of 9 HDD's.
that shit looks dangerous.

I was thinking... maybe you could mod the thing so you had a bottom mounted PSU, Add a plate to hide cables, and a bit hard to explain, but:
Make a sideways facing riser off the bottom with metal dowels mounted facing from the left side to front side, then twist O-rings over it for a hard drive mounting system. The O-rings would act as vibration dampeners.
Of course, one of these cases would be prime in a build with 2 cooling loops. It would take alot of work, but I think you could make a great box with it. Oh, and mountain mods charges extra for every little thing, but you can customize to your hearts content.
One of the H2GO cases could work for you Panzer.

The whole thing just fails when you start thinking the cost of that thing. Around 50 dollars for shipping, 21% vat, customs costs.... No way...

I know... problem is also, they have alot of cool customization options, but leave out some that I think are key, like:GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

-fully custimizable back panel, with option to put PSU top, bottom, on its side, face up, face down.
-top mounted Mobo board.
-Bottom fan mounts
-sideways HDD and 5.25 mounts
-option of full back panel w/ cable management holes.
They have the option of just ordering panels for your build, but none of them allow these mods.
Sorry for getting off topic, but I really want to do a WC build in this case:

Kinda like the bottom one pictured here:

Cable management enough for ya?

That's probably the most awesome looking computer I've ever seen.

Considering my case will cost 1/10 of that, Corsair is pretty kickass. Murderbox goes in gategory, 'what would I buy if I had unlimited budget'

Can you actually buy a Murderbox then? I assumed it was just a one off mod.
You can. The guy makes that kinda custom builds as his job. He got all the cool equipment for cutting metal for example. If I remember right the TJ07 in that murderbox costs 999USD without any hardware or water cooling.ghettoperson wrote:

yeah, hes got a site, basically redoes TJ07's as far as I know, costs almost $1000 USD just to get the case yourself, dont know what it would cost him to build it.ghettoperson wrote:

I really like how he mounted the SSDs with those light up blocks. I might keep that in mind for that HDD wall I was talking about.

If I'm ever rich that guy is getting a lot of my money.
I would def want one, but at the same time making your own is pretty fun. I really like alot of his ideas though, but that cable sleaving would be such a pain.ghettoperson wrote:

You don't build the case yourself anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
I've definately thought about it. I have an extra case sitting around that I was thinking of using the Mobo tray for a base to build on.ghettoperson wrote:

If I had programmable plasma cutter in my carage next to pile of high quality alu, and car painting gear in backyard I would build my own case.Nic wrote:

E: I do have pretty kickass air compressor so I would just need proper paint equipment for it....

true enough... cutting down to the 10th of a mm to make shit look good, is pretty much impossible without a cutter. I've thought about drafting some stuff up and having it cut for me. I wanted to do a full glass side panel for my current comp, would have cost about 70 CAD or so. might have something glass done eventually though.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

I could probably make a full frosted plexi case with the mobo tray I have. Thats an idea.

You know the worst thing about all these high end computers, though? In less than 6 months, they're already outdated.
how so... with the specs in that last one, its really quite futureproof, unless something huge happens. I dont get why people always say that bullshit. My processor is 3 years old and still ticking.CapnNismo wrote:

Tell me, in six months, what processor is scheduled for release that will make the i7 975 outdated? what games that you will need more than 2 GTX 285s for? What HDD's that are going to make SSD's seem to slow.
How about the next year....?

Its like that for everything, cars, electronics... everything gets outdated quickly in this age.CapnNismo wrote:

I doubt i7 is is outdated in anytime soon and its already well over half year old.... same goes for my PSU, SSD, ram and mobo...
and as far as gfx cards go, I could say a GTX 295 will be chewing next years games at ease too.
