Is it possible, and how???

Running Bf2 in a window with the "X" to close it and everything. Idk why, but my friend wants to know. Probably so he can use other stuff @ the same time.

In the shortcut target field there's: +fullscreen 1. Change that 1 to 0.

right click your shortcut and go to properties

It should say

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

change it to

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 0

it will run in windowed mode.

if you want to set it at a custom resolution:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen1 + szx 800 + sxy 600
(or whatever res you want)

what if you are using that customized short cut that makes battlefield run faster.

its called Shortcut to bf2.bat

and the target is "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\bf2.bat"

Open the bf2.bat file in notepad and tell us what's inside.

Just changing the shortcut's "+fullscreen 1" to "+fullscreen 0" works for me.

I have no idea, I linked him to the thread and tried to help him, but he figured it out himself sort of
