That's right, Lego Land. I have a top of the line computer, but I have all of my settings at the absolute minimum...making Strike at Kirkwood look like Lego Land. This allows me to load and spawn literally 30 seconds to a full minute faster than anyone else. I solo cap the hotel every time, and I usually get a head start on the square....and that's before anyone else has spawned.

When I had that BF2 was unplayable,now I have 1 gig of RAM and I still need more.
The first 2 minutes of a map are just mega-laggy,after that it is fine except for the occasional hickup(which really pisses me off during a bombrun,crashing is nearly always certain then).

I could revert my settings back to low lighting,but that just looks like crap.And yeah,I remember some guys on a LAN where we were playing TacOps,they set their LOD to 1,looked like an old C64 vectorgame....

I aslo play with 512 RAM, every setting on Medium, some things off like dynamic light and view at 100%, 1 music load time and maybe for 5 seconds laggy, after that running like smooth donkey in a bath with kokonuts.

I'm 13 so there's really not much I can do about my computers shittyness besides steal RAM from school computers. This mobo only has two ram slots so those extra sticks aren't of any use to me.

I set mine on medium too but I have to listen to the loading music 1 and 1/2 times and it lags a whole bunch at the beginning for about 15 seconds, then clears with some occasional small hiccups. But if it's SF or a piece of shit server it lags the whole thing through A LOT, maybe clearing up a little bit over time. I regret to say that I have never experienced crystal clear gameplay with no lag and high settings on BF2.

I'm 13 as well. I'm a day away from getting 2 gigs of RAM, so do what I did. Ask for it for your birthday

I've slowly but surely upgraded my comp that way. I've practically rebuilt the thing since I bought it, and the only thing I got not on my birthday or christmas (I got some harddrives for free from my dad though) was my mobo. But that was most needed.
