Well that didn't take long, seems like the whole stat system on a whole is pretty much dead/fucked, Seeing how this "glitch" has been out for a few patchs or even since the game came out, The whole stat system can't be trusted.

Maybe EA/Dice could find a way of tracking commader scores and time spent in game like how bf2tracker.com can track your history from signing up, But this would mean time/money/effort and we know what ea are like when it comes to post-gold gaming support.

I can feel a wipe coming on after a patch or two, hopefully getting rid of or "fixing" the whole x2 comander lark!

And tbh how the hell did they find this glitch i wouldn't put it down to be smart like some older posts have said

I'm sure this will be resolved with the next hotfix EA/DICE releases. It's ashame to think we have admired the scoring system and our ranks but now to see how exploits have ruined it makes me think differently of the scoring system. What about the others that are using the exploit that are making their way to the top but are staying under the radar? Using it for their advantage!

And for future questions/threads that will arise, bf2s will continue to show HuuFlungDung at the top of the ranks when his stats have been reset until he reaches 100 points again. The below link will show when his stats are reset.

Number 2 of the 87 threads that will be about this guy.I don't give a flying fuck who is in the top ten.But what you should really be bothered about is the hackers who keep a low profile.They don't get massive scores just above average.When i play sniper and some guy picks me off from the other side or the map with a pistol is anoying but not much i can do if they keep a low profile and don't do to many spectacular things in a round.

I fail to see how this is a massively big deal.

A fix would no doubt be on the way, in the mean time anyone stupid enough to end up with 16mil points will be sent packing.

Sure there might be people using this glitch to gain points however so discreetly, so as to avoid detection, well good on them, the fix will un-doubtedly put an end to that. Forcing them to play the game as it was meant.

With everyone being none the wiser.

I think this is sort of a retarded way to think.  Yeah, it is a game, but so is basketball, baseball, golf, hockey, etc.  You go play basketball at the gym, is it okay if the other team cheats?  You play golf on Saturday with friends, is it okay if one or two of them cheat?  Probably not... if so, then you're more retarded than I thought.  If they cheated, you would probably be pissed and rightly so.  But you don't lose anything 'real' by losing to a cheater.  (unless you bet on the game)  But I can bet you would still be pissed.  And you're right, the points don't have any intrinsic value outside the game, but it's what hundreds of thousands of people like to do with their time and cheaters ruin people's good time.  No, it isn't taking money from their pockets, but cheating is cheating and it sucks.  Just because you don't seem to have any qualms about people cheating, don't berate those people who do.

1.) It isn't basketball, golf, or any other real world game - it's a video game.
My friends take mulligans on the golf course - I don't care - technically it's cheating - but nothing is at stake - so I don't care.

Please explain how someone is going to get 16 million points by cheating at basketball at the gym; or even 100 points; do they posess a magic ball that always drops through the hoop? If you mean fouling; playing rough; this is against the rules; expect some to do it - no big deal - it even happens - I don’t care.

2.) Get some perspective - it is just an opinion - and it is just a VIDEO game.

3.) If they had never awarded me 1 point, 1 stat, 1 medal, 1 rank, etc - I would have still played BF2, for awhile anyway until it got old - and it sort of is.

4.) It is just a (EA/DICE)marketing ploy to keep you interested in the game, stats vs content, I'd rather have more & newer content.

5.) By (EA/DICE) not supporting modders (new & varied content), and having ranked servers leased from EA, they have deluded gamers into a psychological mindset they wanted all along (see #4).

Oh, by the way stat padders, hackers, glitchers, teamgod, etc; they don't really bother me either. True that I don't like getting sniped by a hacker - but then again I don't like getting sniped period. True I don't see why someone would waste their time stat padding vs actually playing the game - but then again - I don't really care either. True a guy behind a wall I can't get into killing me is annoying - but then again I never spawn there again - to suffer from that glitch/glitcher either.

Well being that you cant fix new Probs is something to also think about.

This is kinda the first game of its kind one of the only ones that scores you on how well you do in game. So if its the first one then how are you going to learn from something if nothing ever happened. (If you get it)

So it'll get better as the Game Progress or even in MAY when the Patch and Booster gets out.

I agree with you about the stats, that they show your personal BF2 game progress, but that could easily be something local, merely keep as a record on your computer.

And if the ULTRA-geeky wished to compare their meaningless stats; they could come to BF2S or another site and do so.

That doesn't take cheating at all.  It takes a sniper who doesn't determine where the incoming fire is coming from fast enough, and doesn't aim well enough.  Play an engineer for a few days straight, and I promise you you'll learn to take out snipers with your pistol from 'across the map' as well.

Why is everybody so worried about the ranks system?!? its just a marketing tool.. i used to like it, but then i realize of my wrong.. its bullshit.  The only cool thing about this is the statS  but thats a personal stuff, and ranks can be achieve easyly, by stat pading, hack or just a couple of karkand dedicated whore weeks and there you are first sergeant!! WOW!!

i started a new acount because i never liked my first name (got tired of beeing a ferret) anyway i do check stats but to see how fine im doing, but never mesure my dick with others in the rank cos i know its bullshit.  Despite of this new acount, gameplay hasnt change it et all, and shure theres some tards that wont let my go into choper or jet without teamkill me (because of my rank) but once i manage to get in; they stop fucking arround.. cos in the ends SKILL IS WHAT IT MATTERS.

about the unlocks.. i always use FAMAS OR AK101 on medic (cos i think they r the best).. and G36 on spec ops.. so unlocks doesnt matter et all.

pd. i just got a couple of hours on BF1942 great fun!.. and thanks god no one its bitching about its rank.. its all about FUN AND SKILLS.

You never played Novalogic's Black Hawk Down  I take it....Stats, Medals, Badges and Ranks have been around in other games for quite some time....and stat padders also....I find it funny how BF2 has the same ranking system of a game that is 3 years old and people think it's something new...
