So today my friend sent me the address to a site he's set up to host riddles for his friends. The clues are all grounded in events and jokes we have together, and the answer to the latest riddle is Hidden Links; I'm certain of it.

Now on to the question; I want to know if there is a program or technique which will reveal hidden links on a page, only to save myself the time having to grid-pattern the entire page.

Doesn't work with all browsers. But in firefox if you just keep pressing tab it will cycle through all hyperlinks.

Try roaming your cursor over the page, highlighting the whole page, etc.  Maybe view the source code for a url...

Peter, I tried and failed. It would only jump to the visible links.

Ken, this has also failed. The problem is the page is a large picture, and the code is giving me no hints as to where it is hidden (I'm also not well versed enough to spot even the worst of hidden content).

And I have confirmed that there is in fact a link to be found by another friend who is in on the game. Unless they're both being dicks.

Aha! I've found it! I got lucky and while I was copying happened to catch it. I just got rickrolled.

Rickrolled?  Tell them their latest 'prize' for the little fantastical nerdnet treasure hunt was almost funny 2 years ago.  Then go on a real treasure hunt.  Make sure to bring your whip and a bag of sand in case you need to do an idol swap.

I'll just punch him when I see him, sand is heavy.

But how else will you switch out the idol?  That is of course assuming that you got past the obstacle course straight out of the Japanese game show.
