Bizzare Stats problem, no help from EA/DICE

Ive got a really strange stats issue. It says my next rank is first Sergeant, and the progress bar is full but it never updates, and i dont beleive im due for my next rank till 50k points. My stats are updating, mabye the screen shot can help point this out

Anyone have any ideas? EA keeps emailing me back asking me to play on a registered server and let them know if my stats update, when ive told them twice its not a stat problem, EA is crap when it comes to helping consumers, has been since BF1942

when did this happen? cause it looks like ur in limbo between master and first sgt.
when did it happen and when was the last time u played on a ranked server.

My only thoughts are did you get all the prerequisites for first sergeant before you got the points, because if you didn't then you won't get the rank and will have to wait til you get the 50,000 before you rank up again.

Probobly an EA Bug introduced with thenew Ranks.... Suposedly your supposed to be able to make General Ranks after the point requirements as long as you aquire the badges....... Something not possible before. Looks like they half-way implemented this for the Master Sargent/First sargeant ranks....

I'd guess you got your last required badge for first sargenet recently.... BFHQ thinks you can Rank up from Master to First... But evidentally EA doesnt have that quite right ontheir end.....

I'd just keep playing and not worry about it much. It should be fixed in 1.3.... and you dont actually get another rank up until 50k anyway.... and you would not get any unlocks going from Master to First sargeant anyway.

Yeah i knew about the 50k thing, but i wasnt sure, as BF2s has been innaccurate before, but im shrugging it off for now, its just annoying, becasue i liked my little prgress bar

Thanks for the help, figures im the only one with this issue, just like im the only one outta 20 people to get hit by an Arty storm.

I got this exact same problem. It's because I waited until AFTER I made E-8 (Master Sergeant) to get my knife badge. So now I qualify for 1SG, but EA is retarded and wont let you have it if you're already a Master Sergeant. My progress bar is full like that too at all times. It annoys me a lot too, and I already post the same question, pretty much. I would only care if it matters when you're applying for commander cuz I dunno if a 1SG would get commander over a MSG. Or if it just goes on who has the most points, I dunno.

usally its speed, followed by rank as a tiebreaker i believe, but its good to know im not alone!

Try looking here.....you will find:

The major difference between several of the higher ranks is that you get the "higher" rank if you have certain badges. Whichever rank you get, each pair only gives you one unlock.

It is also worth noting that the upper ranks are not progressive. You will only earn one rank per point bracket. If you make it to Master Sergeant without the awards, you will not be promoted to First upon earning the missing awards.

Another good thing is to use the SEARCH!

I KNOW THIS, mabye reading my post will help? I was refering to progress bar being full, even though im no where near the next rank, i know i dont get the first class rank

its because first sergeant is a higher rank than master sergeant.

however, since you already have the point reqs for first sergeant, it shows your bar as being full.

you cannot get the promo to first sergeant though.

its not a bug or a glitch, just something that DICE didn't consider.

same thing happens with sergeant major and master gunnery sergeant.

ah ok, that makes alot more sense, thanks EA/DICE for not catching yet another flaw, id rather wait for a perfect game then have a flawed one quickly :p
