the one and only rescue I was involved with was actually more dramatic than that. Lunch Ledge at Taquitz in Idylwilde.

Two brothers had fallen together and I was part of the team that go them down after their rope wrapped around a small tree as they were falling.
One broken back and one fractured skull but they both lived.

The heli could only fit one skid on the rock at a time and had to make two landings as only one could go on at a time.

So, looks like I'm going to go for it.

They want a flat fee of two hundred bucks and there would be two diners and one breakfast. They expect 200-250 people and of those half will be either dirt bag climbers or vegans. Say a third of the remaining half would bring their own food that leaves a core group of 50-75 people to feed.

Seems like a good thing. If I commit I will be the only person selling hot carnivore food.

I guess the risks are having more food than gets sold and going at a loss. The experience seems like it will be worth it.
