Alright, so I'm planning for my final ship to be a drake. What should I get as a temporary ship until then? I usually do missions and I rat a lot.

In other news, one of our esteemed FC's jumped us (100man BS group) into a bubbled system, and into a SB trap.
lulz ensues, i lose my raven and i think it's fucking hilarious tbh.

Be happy you didn't get any D/Cs.
Ravens are great support for fleets. Travel time may suck when shooting primaries, but they bring the hurt at range.Christbane wrote:

ive heard nice things about armour plated torp ravens too.

RR gang raven works. Shield extended is better if you're not RRing though.FatherTed wrote:

I fly a dual plated, dual extended RR BS. It's obligatory in Br1ck to have oneBevo wrote:

what'd they do, kill you all with just 2 waves of bombs?
dont hate on ravens, a torp raven is just as viable in a fleet as any other BS. they can really kick out the damage with 5k+ alpha strikes and they have a pretty huge tank.
yep, FC rushed the scouts a little bit (although they should have figured out that 20 red in local that they cant scan = ambush), ordered the jump. then bomb after bomb, 13 SBs in total i think, and we brought down 3.Volatile wrote:

teddy, word of advice. don't fit T2 MWDs and always fit a DCU. you dont need the CPRs because they hurt your tank.
I would say that you didn't really need three BCS's either. And TP on a raven is always a good idea.
And plus mixing Armor and Shield RR in one fleet = bad. That's more the FC's fault I think, though....

is there actually any advantage to T2 MWD's? or is it like T2 plates where there's not much point?

an armor tanked RR raven can be decent with good skills. a shield tanked raven is worthless in an RR fleet and most other fleets.Bevo wrote:

LMAO!!! holy shit! your fleet commander must have been a complete idiot! primary the damn oynx ffs! put drones on the SB's none of you should have died to thisVolatile wrote:

Dude, the stealth bombers probably didn't stop for tea after they lauched their bombs. They were most likely aligned to the gate cloaked, and as soon as the hostile fleet jumped into the bubbled gate they decloaked, launched the bombs, and then immediately warped. I don't think there was a whole lot they could of done other than getting better intel/ not jumping in.Christbane wrote:

teddy, t2 mwds just add extra cpu and grid usage you don't need. spark, having as much dps on the raven as possible is always a good idea, teddys fit is decent, the only thing is the raven isn't good for long range BS fleets since cruise missiles take far to long to hit their target. however that doesn't make them bad fleet ships. slap some torps on, a couple of medium or heavy neuts on there, add a T2 DCU and a PDS on there and its a fine boat that spits out 5k alpha strikes and has 100k ehp. (assuming average skills) if you have caldari BS to 4 and missile projection to 4 you get hit out to 21k km which is good for torps, and keeps you out of scram range. Also, fit a disruptor as well.
in other news, i need to train my fitting skills up. atm im using this for fleet work;seymorebutts443 wrote:

Painter, especially if you frequently use furies. Damp wouldn't be a bad idea but they're a terrible CPU hog
