My laptop can connect to my wireless network but it can't get Internet through it. Laptop is on 32-Bit Vista, however the computer the network was "started" on 32-Bit XP (not sure if that makes a difference). I've tried all of windows suggestions, and none of them have worked.

I'm probably just doing something really stupid and simple, but still. Help would be appreciated

Ok, so I just woke up and turned it on... And not i dont even think its connecting to the network... ill try a ethernet cable..

EDIT: Ok so i plugged in a ethernet cable and it connected to the internet fine. No problems with that, but i still can't get my wireless to work.

you need to turn on DHCP server under your router options.  though if it works with an ethernet cable, im pretty sure DHCP is on.

try putting the default IP address: 10.1.1.1 into firefox and if prompted use "admin" as username/password/both

Source btw:

Default IP address:       10.1.1.1
Default admin username:     admin
Default admin password:     admin
Administration:     Web-based (LAN)
Remote configuration (WAN)
Telnet / CLI
Remote centralized management
Firmware upgradeable:     yes
Configuration backup/restore:     yes
User manual for your router aswell: ftp://files.dlink.com.au/products/DSL-G … Manual.pdf

BTW: are you running WPA2 pro/personal on your network?
Vista tends to have problems with WPA2 pro in my experience

I've checked and DHCP is definitely enabled. There are no static IP's listed... I don't know if I need that or not...
I'm using WEP not WPA2..

Could it have something to do with the channel i'm using?

Ok guys I have no idea what I did... but i was screwing with the wireless settings and it now works.

Karma for all anyway

One last question: I'm replacing the HDD in my laptop, is it possible for me to use my OEM vista x64 that is already installed on my other computer and "acquire" another cd-key for it. Or should I just use the Vista x32 the laptop came with?

vista keys work all around.  if you have a key for vista x86 (32 bit) that is on a sticker on the bottom of your laptop, it'll work for x64 as well.
