Everyone knows about the hackers/statpadders/etc, that are using an exploit to destory the ranking system.  I am wondering why each of them only go as high as 16,777,215?  Is this a limit to the glitch or BF2?  If it is a limit to BF2, and at the current rate of the real leaders, like (TA)FireStorm and Blazin.uk, then they will reach the limit in about 4 years.  Does this mean that EA will release BF3 before then? 

PS: I searched for 16 miilion and did not see a thread like this one.

yes, a limit of sorts on bf2s,
i havnt heard anything about bf3 although bf 2142 is set for this fall i believe,
the admin of this site is working on a new stats site regardless

I know that BF2142 is going to be released this fall.   To rephase the question, did EA make the 16,777,215 the limit because they did not think anyone would reach that point before the release of BF3? Did EA think it would take a longer time to reach this point, or a shorter time the almost 5 years?

It's either a problem with EA's stats servers or bf2s.com db server.

The type of field that stores the points number is most likely some form of integer, this varies from db to db and computer to computer. For example, in the old days an integer was a max of 255. Nowadays it goes quite high.

It's most likely that the db has reached its max value for the field. So therefore it's returning that.
