So I'm thinkin of getting rid of my current rig and picking up something new. I want small form factor, but more options than an itx board provides, Unless of course someone can show me a itx board with a pcie 16 and pcie.

so far this is what I am looking at.

AMD PII 955BE
Asus 785G Evo Mobo
4GB 2x2GB G.Skill Trident DDR3 1600
WD Caviar 1TB or some other HDD for a reasonable ( $90 or less CAD) price
Samsung DVD writer
DX11 vid card, depending on benchmarks
Sound card, depending on left over budget
Lian li V351B matx case (the one from this build http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/system … -v350b.htm)
Enermax liberty 620w modular power supply

Swiftech MCP655 pump
Swiftech quiet power dual radiator
Swiftech apogee w/ am2+ hold down bracket
Primochill Typhoon III Dual INLET/OUTLET 2X 5.25IN Bay Reservoir & MCP655 Pump Top
Primochill white or clear 3/8 tubing
Gelid solutions green gamer fan 120mm x3 or Gelid solutions silent White fan 120mm x3
Gpu block depending on card.
bitspower fittngs.

Question is, I dont know AMD so much atm, what is a good Matx mobo for the  this build. Only moderate OCing and pretty heavy gaming to be done here. Also any suggestions on RAM I've heard good things about G.Skill but dont have any experience with them. This ram seemed good for a reasonalble price.

If you are determined to go with DDR3, your choices are pretty limited.  I'd recommend this board.

If you are willing to go with DDR2, your choices are much wider.

Does it have to be AMD? There are a few mATX boards (5 that I know of) for i7/i5.
Unless you already have the CPU and don't want to have to sell it?

not determined to, any reason why you would recommend a 740G over a a 785 chipset?
I dont know the AMD chipsets very well so a reason would be helpful.

Unless intel has some big price drops, then yeah. The AM3 matx mobos sit around 100 CAD and 1366 mobos from 250-300 CAD as well as the i7 processor costing about 150 CAD more. I really dont see the performance gains in that area to be worth the costs.
