My mom wants a Sennheiser headset for VOIP calls and music listening, and being the general dumbass that I am when it comes to audio, I need help. She doesnt want to go over $50, and she already (thankfully) understands that they wont sound as good as my 555s.

I looked around a little and found these, and was wondering if there is much of an improvement to warrant buying the more expensive one.

Any other headsets I should take a look at? Will these be pretty good for music listening?

Got them like 4 years ago and they're still good.. mic is nice, sounds good and the sound quality is good, comes with mute button for mic and volume button

Maybe they made them shittier because all the crap they're complaining about I have no problems with

She doesnt like that type of headphone

Anyone else? She needs to order it tomorrow... Halp. Would the extra cost of the second one be worth it in listening quality?

Everything below PC5x & PC6x series is so uncomfy, especially if she has 555s now which are really comfy the difference in wearing them will be huge.

She doesnt have them, I do. She tried them and then wanted some Sennheisers with a mic, near $50. More concerned about sound quality atm.

Sond quality is decent, much, much better than Logitech headsets. But uncomfortability level made me not use mine.

Hmm, shit. Have any other suggestions in that price range? And which of the two I posted would be better in terms of price/performance in your opinion?

I would go with PC 161 simply because of its open back design and full sized ear cups. For gaming I use the HD555s and the PC 30s mic (the headset lies on the desk 30cm away from me).

Eh, those look nice, but too expensive for her budget... Thanks for all the help anyway
