Yes it will be harder at some times, it always will, but that's just part of it. Also, mentally prepare for a few months/years not sleeping (depends on the kid). Everyone always thinks their kid will be quiet, it won't.
And if it is a girl, please don't become "that dad"; the one that overprotects his daughter so that by the time she's 21 she's an insecure biatch who only pretends to be independent. Grow them balls, regardless of whether it's a boy or a girl.
