Nothing that I really regret apart from who I chose to live with this next year. Unfortunately the decision was rushed and I completely drifted to a different group of friends during my second and third term. People I have more in common with and who are generally a lot more fun. It's only a year though.

I also wish I'd pushed myself more learning how to properly read piano notes. After having played for 13 years I can read but mostly rely on my ear for music which can be a mighty bitch some time.

Actually, I've changed my mind on what I said. I wish I'd originally set out to do IR at uni rather than wasting a year on something I hated.

Fairly true in most cases, not impossible to do, but certainly requires a lot more effort; most adults don't have the time, dedication and patience to actually stick with learning to play. Kids don't mind learning gradually, whereas adults tend to expect overnight results, and don't like feeling inept.

The confidence to perform in front of an audience also develops overtime, if you're not an overt person, it's tricky to do this as an adult too, as you are likely to be more self conscious.

For me, I wish I'd stuck with learning to play the piano when I was younger, would be very useful for me now.
Also being a more sociable person, I've only really come out of myself in the past 5 years or so (I'm 23)...wasn't a popular kid in school, and i thought I would always be a loser

Tbh though, I don't dwell on the past and regrets, I just do what I can to improve myself now.

That is very true, although wish I had picked up guitar earlier and stuck with piano instead of quitting (I am taking lessons again though).

Sadly, it's true. I started guitar at 17, because music is one of my biggest, if not the biggest, passion of mine. It always makes me feel a little bad when I see these 6 year old kids playing hard-ass songs perfectly on youtube...

You really can't fully exploit your "genetical talent" past a certain age. It is not just adult impatience, it is also the way your brain works/develops.
