Best military quote ever?
I was watching the Iraq war coverage on the news late one night a while back. The reporter was with a squad who was attacking a fortified building. this building had something like a bell tower on top. There was an enemy soldier in the window spraying bullets with his AK47. One of the squad members pulls out his RPG and sends a rocket right up the ass of the soldier in the window blowing the room to pieces. Right after this happens the soldiers CO turns and says.... " GOOD FUCKING SHOT SOLDIER!" right on live tv. right after that the reporter apologized for the harsh language.

I was a scout, an "Armored Reconaisance Specialist" if you use the big word. When asked by tankers how they would know where the enemies were we would usually tell them to just look for our burning vehicles as a clue.

Some interesting quotes there, but the one I like the best comes from Lt.Col. Hal Moore who lead the First ever Air Cav into Battle in Vietnam when he addressed his men in front of family and loved ones. "I can't promise you I'll bring you back, but I can promise I'll be the first to set foot on the battlefield and I'll be the last to leave". The one thing I like about his is, he was true to his word.
