So its been a while since Win7 is out for use and lots of people tested it. How does it work for you, any issues or features you don't like or miss?

I have to say I quite like it, its much faster than Vista(though XP still seems to be faster when opening movie files and programs, probably because of the Aero) and very fun to work with. You can even disable Windows Features which is a nice feature hehe.

But flash videos don't work for me and I can't seem to find a fix and the other day when turning on the PC Win7 randomly said it needs to get repaired and I wasn't even installing any new software or anything else (I skipped repair and went straight to Windows and its working fine like nothing happened). Chrome sometimes stops responding but only in Win7.

I really like the taskbar and its buttons. In Xp when I had lots of folders opened the taskbar was a mess but here everything is neatly stacked.

Haven't really played any games in Win7 yet so I can't comment if they work fine or not though I have played Wolfenstein 2 in Win7 but that game needed no install.

Would like to see your feedback guys on the new OS, are you getting it when its officially released?

From what I've heard about it (haven't actually tried it myself) I'd be interested in getting it when it's officially released, but I'm not even sure when that is.

You should most defo give it a try before the official release. What's better than a full version of something to evaluate before you make the purchase.

I still have the 7000 build, it's a wank stain - reboots every 2 hours unless I put my clock back, and that always fucks everything up.

Seriously, you have no idea how hard being a year behind is.

I have the RTM (legally) and I love it.  Havent had a single problem with software/compatablility or anything so far.  No random restards, nothing.  I'm very impressed with it.

Plus its pretty sexy

You're aware that it does that on purpose, yes?

I have the Enterprise version. It has worked perfectly, I have had no issues at all. It starts much faster than Vista, this has something to do with my SSD too... I have played HOI3 and have had no problems with it. The new taskbar is in my opinion much better than the older but it still needs some tweaking in my opinion or maybe I'll just need get used to it. My only question is that how can I use the Aero and scroll through different applications like in Vista. Windows 7 is definitely better than Vista or XP.

Yes Win7 has some good support for SSDs

thankfully Intel SSDs don't even need the TRIM to stay fast. TRIM is very good news to OCZ SSD owners tho so they may enjoy not degrading performance too when they get TRIM firmware out. (win7 has TRIM support)

October 22, here in the states. i've not seen the timetable for international release.
if you had acted before the end of July, you could have gotten the pro version for the cost of the upgrade.

Love it. I hated vista, liked XP. Now, this is like the good of vista but without the annoying little UAC popups and bad performance and shitty control panel layout.

Only downside is that the ctrl+alt+del command doesn't directly open task manager. I liked that in XP.
I like pie.

Best of Vista meets the best of XP, it's wonderful.

Ooh, actually I do. My usual login password started with a /, however when I installed it I set it up with a UK keyboard, when in fact I have a US international keyboard. Anyway, once it was installed I switched the keyboard layout to US international, however it appeared to stay the same at the login screen. Everywhere else it functioned as a US International keyboard. In the end, I just dropped the / from my login password and forgot about it. Unless someone else happens to have done the exact same thing, it's probably still fucked, because the MS website is far too confusing for me to file a bug report.

I'll change my password back later and see if they've fixed it.

I've used it for almost a month now, and I love it.

Gaming seems alright, I have no problems.

I don't like the new Control Panel layout, though. I like the classic look, and don't like that I can't make it that way.

There's a button in the top left corner that allows you to view small/large icons instead of categories.
