Ever since I have installed the new patch every single server I join in says I'm a rookie! Also I get kicked off servers for "modified game content"

I've noticed that since this patch a lot of servers I have been on there have been loads of people with the same problems. Is it because I deleted the opening movies?

single player has no rank so ur always a private.

well for starters the movies shouldnt be deleted they should have the name/extension changed. Also some ppl dont realize if u edit/modify content in the zip files it will cause the game to think u are using modded material.
a full re-patch should clear it up.

I deleted my movies and I'm having no problems.

Me too, deleted them months ago and dont have any problems most of the time. Sometimes I enter a server and my rank is back at recruit (rarely), but even then I can select my unlocked weapons. Weird.

That has nothing to do with you deleting your movies.

I didn't mean single palyer. I mean I join a server and it wont let me use my unlocks, and it's happening every single time I play.


I might to a full re-install.

I didn't delete my opening cinematics and rarely, I too am reduced to a private.....? I guess I'll go stab myself in the eye with a bic pen.

Yes
Er, no. Delete 'em, move 'em into a subdirectory or rename 'em, no difference... except it speeds up the load time

I get the same thing periodically too. It's a known glitch, just like red names over your team-mates' heads, the floating flags disappearing from view etc.

Game bug, problem with verifieing with EA/Gamespy servers. Happens to all of us.
