I remember the good old days of james bond golden-eye where you could choose to have a game with slappers only! I think having fist fights on BF2 would be also cool. The only problem is i doubt anybody would use them in normal combat.

I want melee in BF2! Anyone who plays Halo 2 on Xbox Live knows that every weapon has an alternate melee attack (pistol whip, SMG club, rocket launcher beatdown, etc). I think it'd be awesome if, say, my scroll wheel click was programmed to perform a melee attack!

I think it would fun but not neccesairy so I think dice wont put it in
and the "melee" command would be put on the X button (like smokes for tanks and flares for jets), and would be different according to which weapon you're using ==> smashed with the PKM or M95 => ouch ! bayonet for AKs right now !

I think there should be a buttstroke attack. The move is incoperated into MCMAP and would be great in the game. It would also be cool if you affix the knife onto your rifle, bayonet style, and have to the option of leaving it on for those instances you run out of ammo after shooting several people in a row, but still have that one guy to take care of.

There is a game called Blade of Darkness. It is a single player FPS style game that uses melee weapons. Swords, axes, staves, etc. I have played through this game probably 100 times. I have always wished for new games like this, preferably online. I have no idea why this is basically the only game of its kind. It is awesome. Check it out!
