I've looked for a solution searching google.. but no luck chuck. I thought I was being crafty by creating a folder named the exact same thing (MTV Twitter) which it allowed me to do. I then highlighted them both and deleted.. they both went away but moments latter the folder returned. Any advice?
I created this folder a few days ago on my desktop. However, when I go to delete it I get the following message,

Have you restarted? haha
Try through the command prompt.
Try and get clues from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi … 96645.aspx as well.

The link to the prgm you sent said that it has been replaced by Process Monitor

yeah but use this, it might be easier for you to get a read. Procmon has registry activity mixed in by default
edit: and brb store .. if this is boring you try the unlocker app reaper posted.

safe mode?
Are you logged in as administrator?
Try the dos prompt once more, but with the /s switch to remove the entire directory tree, including all subfolders and files:
rd <foldername> /s
RMDIR <foldername> /s

It looks like unlocker may have done it.. it said it wasn't locked but that it "could help me deal with it".. mafia anyone?AussieReaper wrote:

Anyways, one of the options was delete from unlocker and so I selected it. It went bye bye. Usually it pops back within 5 minutes.. so we will see, fingers crossed.
What a weird problem.

In case it pops up again, I've been looking at other solutions online with people having the same problem, and they said:

I g2g, good luck with it. Hope you never see it again.
others that:Actually, I'm guessing you might have used that folder with Windows Media Player? It might still think it's a needed folder.
In Windows Media Player > Tools > Options, on the Rip Music tab, is that folder the location given for "Rip music to this location"? If so, change the location.
Found on the vista forums:This Worked For Me!
1) Open up Command Prompt (CMD)
2)type in cd then the location of the file (in my case c:\users\james\desktop)
3)type in dir /x
4)Next to the file you want to delete it will say the files 8.3 name (ex. FILENA~1)
5)type del then the files 8.3 name (ex. FILENA~1)
