Over this long winter of mine in 'good old London town', I have been logging away my BF2 hours picking up some better awards/badges etc and maintaining my average (at best) skills.

With the coming of Spring and all that, I have been rediscovering my outdoor appetite and doing the social person thing!

However, after looking over my stats for the first time in a while, I realise that I'm still 125 hours and 20500 points away from getting into the shiny medals and stuff!

Now I know its not all about the awards, its the gameplay etc, but I reckon it is, cause... you gotta love the sound of the drum roll!

But my point, I think, is...can I be arsed anymore? Or does/did anyone else have/had the same feeling?

FIN !

simple question do you enjoy playing anymore?  If you aren't having fun playing, then whats the point? Awards should be secondary IMO

When I'm in a game, I suppose I do, but I lately I am thinking about playing but finding something else to do.

Like write in this forum!

Maybe a better point would be to ask if others go thorough overplay?

hey man we all get the same feeling sometimes. And hey a games a game and you only have one life. So don't waste 700 hours of your life on a dumb game. Go outside and play a little cuz thats what i'm planning to do this summer (so close)

I must admit, I enjoyed getting all the vets/basics I have now. after I get vet commander I won't hear the drumroll fro quite some time...
But when that happens I'll find the drumroll file and play it over and over :]

Well, I could'nt have been more wrong.

This w/e I decided to 'jump back on board' & get BF2ing again. I went with my least favoured kit, (Anti-Tank) on a not often played map, (Wake) and would see what happened. I ended playing all types of maps, all types of roles. I got a best round score in Karkand, Yeh I know, not many players ,big map, etc. But I started the round in a squad, they were lame. So created a squad. Played hard and when the commander quit, I jumped in, Used Voip, won round, etc.

Anyway, ended up with global points and an improved SPM and had got my 'shit together' .

God Bless you BF2.

the end.

PS. I'm sorry 2 all players who I noobtubed, it was fun 4 me, but I felt guilty all the same!

I went from 20,000 to 50,000 in like 6 months....find a clan or some good fellas to play with, make the time much more enjoyable. Or use the commander hack

ive gotten pretty bored as late. started a new job 3 weeks ago aswell. so time isnt always on the bf2 tip for sure.

in fact my score sucks so bad. im gonna push tonite and tommrow nite to get Master. and call it quits for a week again. i only play twice a week anymore=/

i think its from playing 1942, vietnam etc. just gettin tired of the GAME as a whole.

still best game ever made though. godamnit

too me alot of it has to do with the fact that EA didnt incorporate a built in downloader for custom maps.

no we have to pay for them, on top of alot of the bugs. all in all with these issues i still love the game when i do play...
