Wouldnt it be nice to have acurate support fire. insed of having the normal artilery it could be replaced by an ac130 gunship. the comander could direct the fire like artilery and would be able to adjust the concentracion of fire on certian areas below where the ac130 is orbiting. the aci30 would last about as long as the artilery dose now and then would have to go back to bace and rearm itself. so that would compinsate for the reload time

that'd be a bit too much fire support, which would in turn wipe out anything within range, a bit unfair if you ask me. With arty, you at least have a chance at escaping. Plus, since it is a commander asset, how can it be destroyed? Shooting it down with a stinger? Too easy on some maps, impossible on others (see Strike at Karkand). Although the arty does need changes, as I was commanding earlier today, I placed arty directly on top of an enemy-controlled M1A2 Abrams, it didn't move throughout the entire bombardment, and i didn't even destroy it!! Aaaaarrrrgh!!!

put me on the 20mm repeating gun on the side of one of those things in desert combat and i can own a entire team, prolly spent 80 hrs and 7000+ kills in the ac130 spectre alone.

i can only imagine the runway camping for one of those things
