Hi there again,
I figured I might as well sit down and ask since I'm already logged into the forums and have been meaning to do so for a long time.
I run a pretty "sub standard" machine - like many out there I'm sure. I've been putting off upgrading for a while but here are the general specs:
AMD Athlon XP 2200 (1.8Ghz)
768MB DDR 400 RAM
80GB HDD
nVidia GeForce FX 5600 128MB AGP 8X card
Now specifically I'm looking to better understand the video tweaking options so that I can use this computer for just a few months longer. I'm currently saving up for a major upgrade; but since I want to drop about US$3k into a system this takes a few months. Any suggestions (other than "just set everything to low") for getting the best possible look / feel out of the game until the big upgrade?
Additionally, does anyone know where I can find information / how-tos on understanding the different video settings for my video card (i.e., texture filtering, anti-aliasing, etc.)? I would really like to get a better handle on understanding what all that crap does.
Sincerely,
-NyQuil
