My computer isn't working and I can only start up in safe mode, It won't let me do a system restore because its turned off and can't be turned back on in safe mode. I've already tried using command prompt and entered in the system restore command and it still said to go back to normal mode and try again but my computer won't do nothing but safe mode. I give up, I need someones help. Please help me, I'm about to go crazy. I can't play bf2 or anything on safe mode, don't even have sound Thanks
Start > Run > msconfig > select "normal startup" > "boot" tab > uncheck "safe boot" > Restart

Ok, I'll describe a little more. It goes to this screen when I start up my computer saying. Safe Mode, Safe Mode with networking, Safe mode with command prompt, Continue from the last known place is worked, and run windows xp normally. If I click on anything besides safe mode it just goes right back to that screen after restarting. I can only go to the three safe modes, I'm on safe mode with networking right now. I also get a blue screen that says something about IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL. That is describing my problem the best I could. I even researched on this stuff and I cleaned all my fans because it said somewhere that overheating is a cause. I just don't know what to do. Someone please help me. I can't do a reformat either since I don't have a windows xp cd.
It also says something on the blue screen about STOP : 0x0000000A (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x804DC11D)
Its probably a driver or memory issue. You could try doing a memtest ( http://www.memtest86.com/ ) or just take out one RAM stick at a time.
I'm going to try deleting my drivers and then restarting and reinstalling them. I'll also try starting up with each mem stick to see if ones bad. Thx sup
I just tried deleting my drivers and restarting and that didn't work and I also tried taking the sticks out one at a time and that didn't work either, any more suggestions guys?
I also tried taking out my video card and my sound card and then starting up my computer. I'm about ready to chunk this computer, too much stress. No money for a new one so I can't throw it away. I wish I could get a fix
Check your HDD using this method, see if it comes up clean.
