I stayed in the Waitaki Valley for a month or so in 2004, every night went hunting for Rabbits. The bastards were everywhere. Got me a score of 48 rabbits, 2 hares, a stoat and a wildcat.
Went shooting at my Dad's cousin's place once, got three goats with my trusty .22.
Been Deer hunting a few times, haven't got anything yet. Damn Sika are wily fuckers.

they're usually shooting those at up to 500 meters, and people use anything from .17 rimfire to .204 ruger to .300 WSM and beyond to shoot gophers/prairie dogsTy wrote:
