have you left and then restarted since getting the right amount of points? promotions i've gotten only kicked in when i finished a round and then joined a new game (map change, or actually leaving and rejoining a server)- then i'd get it on my next point/kill earned. annoying thing about that is, even when i did that, i still had to join a new game again to be able to use whatever i unlocked.
would that be it? or have you restarted and earned points and still no promotion? need to be a little more specific about how the problem manifested

thnx for the help, joined a server and got one kill and it give my new rank. Now to decide on what weapon to unlock, thinkin the g3.
G3 stinks, take the medic L85A1 or whatever its called, its the best first unlock :-)

the G3 is my most used unlock, because i favour the assault class.
choice of unlock really comes down to what class you want to play, and as someone else has dubbed it: the G3 is "the Connoisseur's choice". This is because it forces you to develop skill - you can't spray and pray with it, because of its limited clip. You have to make each (more powerful) round count!
(unless you run in an enemy at point blank range - like they turn the corner into you or something - in which case you can just let rip and shred them! )
