Compatibility is going to be the big story with Gulftown: it will work in all existing X58 motherboards with nothing more than a BIOS update.

Myself (and other gamers) definitely won't shell out $1500 for a new cpu.

Oh, and by the way, Gulftown is the only westmere cpu that will supported in X58 mobos. The dual core variants Clarkdale (desktop, socket 1156) and Arrandale (mobile, socket 989) have an integrated memory and graphics bus.

Yes there will be... Socket 1156 Dual core models.

And considering wiki got its info from that article, i'd say its legit.

Similar articles said the 1k batch price of the 920 would by $299.
