I was going to let this go on longer but I took a second dose of Nyquil and it's kicking in now.
Money is simply an item used in exchange for your time. If you earn $12 an hour working at a gas station every $12 in your pocket is a representation of one hour of your time. If the man next to me makes $6 an hour, I have the equivalent of two hours of his time in my pocket.
There is no good or bad associated with money. Yes, some men spend it on evil things, but others endow universities or support artists or buy food from a farmer who can then clothe his family.
It doesn't matter whether you call it dollars, pesos, pounds, euros, credits, debits or anything else. All it is is an exchange. Why did man think up such a nefarious scheme in the first place? Because it's a lot easier to take $3 and hand it to a farmer in exchange for a few ears of corn than it would be for say a lawyer to give the man a certain amount of his time in court in exchange. All it does is make transactions easier.
There's no conspiracy involved to keep certain men rich and others poor. Money has nothing to do with it. It's just a representation of ears of corn, a lawyers time, a car, a bike, whatever you want it to be. It has no other attributes other than a means to facilitate transactions of time between people.
On a side note, this is why many people get angry when they are taxed. If the government takes 30% of my income, they are not just taking fictitious numbers out of my bank account, they are commandeering 30% of the time I spend working for their own purposes. Out of every eight hour work day, I'm spending 2.4 hours working for the government instead of myself. If I don't agree with how my government spends my time then I term it slavery.
Edit - Flaming Maniac have at it now
