Post the link.

If it doesn't exist, why doesn't it exist?

I am sure that chuy could pull up that list, however it would be an absolutely gigantic page with more accounts than would ever be useful.

If you want to see a list of players by rank there is one in BFHQ.

what about just the numbers?
200 colonels
100,000,000 first sergeants
etc. etc.

I am not talking about listing everyone. Surely it would be possible for chuy to create a rank leaderboard showing the top twenty/thirty/forty/whatever.

I'd be more interested in how many of each rank there were. Seeing the top 30 sgt majors with 59999 points each isn't a very exciting prospect.

What a let-down, going to a butterbar in only 10K points after you receive that prodigious enlisted rank.

Simple; sort by rank, and within individual ranks you sort by score.

eg.

General id.Pubic, score: 500,000 (maybe in ten years time LOL)
General noob, score: 499,999
1sgt noobmaster, score: 27,000
1sgt noobapprentice, score: 26,000
1sgt noobapplicant, score: 22,000
PFC. GetACluePubic, score: 200
PFC. NahWhyBother, score: 199
etc

Perhaps list it on the main page beside the leaderboard under the heading, say, "Top brass"?

Technically speaking, would BFHQ base its numerical ranks on global score or in-game rank?  For instance, let's consider rb378wby (Lieutenant General with 200,200 points) and BlaZiN.uk (Colonel with 380,000 points).  Right now BlaZiN.uk holds the top spot (ignoring the glitchers at the moment), and this would seem to suggest that BFHQ gives global points precedence over rank.

Which means, for global scores over 180,000 there will be some generals mixed in with the Colonels who didn't get all expert badges in time.  Which also means if you want a list of them by rank...don't hold your breath.

I've started work on a BFHQ clone available via the web... source code is available to anyone who wants it on demand (PM me) until I set up the project website, and dev is on hold for a few weeks while I finish off the last bits of coursework ever on my degree

Here's a demo so far, you can browse the 'Score' and 'Kit' leadboard subcategories, and when you get to a page which hasn't been cached it will add you to a queue and grab the page automatically (isn't AJAX lurvely).  Same goes for grabbing player stats (although it will only show global score so far).

It's more of a proof of concept than a useful page, and you can't specify a nick and view that player's global position yet (and therefore there is no 'jump to pos' feature, as that would require it).

http://www.darkwax.co.uk/gamespy/?nick=UnOriginalNuttah

It may be a pointless application, but no more pointless than the EA one at least

(P.S. actually, you can simulate jump to for the global board by changing pos in this url:  http://www.darkwax.co.uk/gamespy/scores … mp;pos=260  but you will have to keep hitting F5 until the wait message disappears, as the AJAX code would normally do that for you)
