If I see or hear it, I try to take care of it. Of course, if I drop a few bags and you run the opposite way screaming, "I need a medic here!", I'm more than content to let you go off and get shot.

I can't hear the call very well when someone says "I need a medic!" right next to me.

I can only hear it when it's over the radio, and when I hear it over the radio whoever needs it is usually too far so I ignore it.

Oh well. That's why I play a useless-in-a-team sniper.

I usually just kill them, then revive them. Then type the reason why I did this.

lmao...I don't know why...but maybe they don't notice me...so I throw a first aid kit so they know I'm there...and guess what they do?...they run away from me faster...

What i usually do is drop the medics to them .. if they want it they can come and get it. If I'm close enough I'd justr drop it at their feet. If they are half way across the screen, they can forget about it.

I'd try a little bit harder for the revive though.

But what really shits me is when you go and revive someone .. the damn thing doesnt work and one of your tema mates gets the revive point ...
It used to be prone diving and shocking the chest was the best way to revive and stay alive. Now the best stance is standing up (even from an uncomfortable distance) and you can shock them up on the first go. Otherwise, the first go never works if you crouch or prone, literally it never works the first time, always the second. Standing will work on the first go, but most pre 1.2 medics aren't comfortable with the stance cuz nobody wants to be standing up in the middle of a battlefield fucking around with those stupid shock paddles, but there ya go thats the best way now

maybe the reason they dont want you running towards them with medic pack at hand is because it will give the enemy the CORRECT impression that they are low in health and therefore an easy kill. try running towards them with your gun and then switch to medic pack at the last possible moment.
Meh, if I'm playing medic and running somewhere without a clear idea of what I plan on shooting at, I have the medic pack in hand. Not to say, "oh, I'm trying to heal someone!" to the enemy, but to keep myself alive when they shoot at me. Can be very useful trick for staying alive.

As for running away from medics, if you are running somewhere in the middle of battle it can be hard to realise that some medic just ran up behind you waving a med pack. If I see the health icon I'll normally turn around, but if they just chuck a pack there is a chance that I might never notice them behind me.

I don't play as medic much any more but I've revived a few people in the last week or so (often by assuming their kit when we're capping together) while prone, shocking their legs and it worked first time.

I'll try it, thanks.

Yup, tons of guys out there that just don't "get" the game.

It happens the other way around as well. I was playing in a wake Island server and I was sniping to the island. The two teammates were in tanks beside me and were BOTH medics. Then comes the artillery, I get wounded and the strike passes. I have about 6 seconds left to go until respawn and they stay in their fucking tanks, I h8 guys like that.
I don't think any medic would get out of a tank just to revivie someone (unless it was a clan match or something) because someone mite steal their tank :p
I hate on karkand...I die and right next to me the medic runs right past.
I do get out of the tank, but first i check if theres nobody round to steal it

BF2 is filled with pussies and badasses. Some people spam "I NEED A MEDIC HERE" like a pussy bitch and others are like "get the fuck away from me medic, I want to bleed"

I had that happen to me on Karkand yesterday.  I see a guy at about 25% health I sprint towards him throwing a couple of medic packs and he runs away.  Stupid idiot.  I need my heal points just like you need your health to kill the enemy.  I revive if I can get to you in time.  If I'm in a vehicle your probably not going to get revived.  I'm too busy killing the enemy to get out and revive you.
