This is kind of complicated.  That right button "Shortcut" menu, is associated with all specific file/folder types.  So, depending on which files you clicked on the shortcut menu is different.  It is possible to change it, however, you would have to change it for each type of file separately.  Here's how you do it:

1.  Open a folder with files.
2.  Go to Tools:Folder Options
3.  Click on File types tab
4.  Find the file type you want to change (example: ZIP WinZip File)
5.  Select the file type and click Advanced on the bottom.
6.  Modify according to your needs (I recommend looking at a few types first to see how they're set up and then doing something similar)

Hope this helps

When you install winrar it "helpfully" attaches itself to your shortcut-menu..

So if you want them gone my best bet is that you'll have to uninstall the program associated with the shortcut..
In this case winrar, some-program-that-edits-icons, and mediaplayer

Use A program called TweakUI, it's got options for customising the right click menu.

alright... this took a bit research but i found exactly what you need! i tried it... I LOVE IT... the utility is called Mmm Free 2.02, you can get it here: http://www.tucows.com/preview/407937 IT IS WAAAAAY SWEET!

P.S. TheEternalPessimist, TweakUI does not have those options in winXP, I just downed the latest version from microsoft and there's a lot of good things in there but shortcut/context menu customization is not one of them.

that comes with that Mmm program... you can purchase their Mmm+ version that has that option.  Otherwise you have to live with it for using their free software
