We had a German relative called Helmut come over when I was little.

We called him Stack-hat.

Seems I misread the things. I was comparing two measurements in two different scales between a German site and NewEgg. Man, I need to wake up!!!

Ok, thanks for feedback guys. My total comes to about $925. When does Windows 7 officially come out? Could I just get Vista Home Premium 64-bit and then use the free upgrade to windows 7? That's an extra $100. What will the retail price for 7 be? Is the free update an update to the full version?
If you've got a college email address, get W7 for $30. http://www.win741.com/
Office Ultimate 2007 for $60: http://www.microsoft.com/student/discou … fault.aspx

Ok, total is $951. I added a monitor, changed the PSU and the GPU. I still want to shave off about $200 more. Is there a website with cheaper parts? How can I get parts cheaper than ordering them online?

find one of those cases with free shipping, that will save alot.
Other than that, your not gonna do better without downgrading to mediocre components.

Do you happen to live near a Fry's store? They have very good sales for CPU/mobo combos sometimes, but they dont apply online

Take a look at slickdeals.net and see if anything you want there is on sale. They keep track of sales on all kinds of things, especially comp parts.
