Vista internet DNS fail etc

So, the internet on my main PC suddenly stopped working. Vista says I'm connected to the internet, but I can't ping anything, can't connect to XFire, etc etc.

So I do a "Diagnose and Repair", and I get the error "Cannot Communicate with Primary DNS Server", with the option to reset the network adapter. I do that, and I get the same error.

I have tried disabling TCP Auto-tuning.

Have you tried things as obvious as reinstalling network adapter drivers, reseted router etc?

Call your ISP, ask for the IPs of the DNS-servers and enter them manually? tbh, I don't even know how to do that on vista...

Check your "DNS" option in your Internet Router.
If your router supports "DNS-relay", this makes your router as a primary DNS for computers on your LAN instead of the ISP's DNS server.
You can turn it on or off for grins and giggles.
I have my router setup that way and it does not create lag for game playing.

thanks for all the help, but it suddenly started working again, so I'm not going to touch anything, haha.

yeah, flushed a bad dns cache i bet. it happens automatically after a period of time, but ipconfig /flushdns will clear it manually.
