Went nightrolling as soon as the tarmac was a bit dry a few days ago. As you know, I just started longboarding, so I appreciate a minimum amount of shit from that. The point was to test the cam I bought, so the amount of material was limited to maybe 12 minutes, of which I took 5:40 to put on youtube.
The title "Syysrullausta" is "Rollin' in the fall" (autumn for you Euro-Anglicans) and the subtitle in the middle is a reference to my not so 1337 camera handling skills. Also, it was dark.
During the session, we talked about the vocal sound of B-Real while at the same time wondering if all old bands from the 90's could make any good material nowadays, so obviously, Cypress Hill was the only choice for a soundtrack, for shits und giggles, of course.

We have hills, but they tend to end in busy intersections. We do them too, and it's awesome to go 30-40 kph down a hill, over a bridge and carve the center lines. Wheee! We were along the river that runs across town, but there are some small hills on both sides. You don't need much of a hill on a longboard to get your adrenaline on, though. With decent bearings and wheels it feels like there's no friction and you're accelerating in a 0.5 degree slope.1927 wrote:

Longboards have their own tricks, none of which I have even tried yet. There's "chopping the wood", the "old school ollie", "cross-stepping" etc. I think I could try chopping the wood today..
And no, I haven't tried shagging on it yet, I was to one on the shorter board (38 some inches). I have crouched and lied down on it while rolling, so it's possible in theory, at least with myself.
