So... I've figured out my budget, and that in it i can get a i5 750 set up or a AMD PII 955 set up within a couple bucks of each other.  By the charts I found at Tomshardware a i5 set up with the same vid card will out perform a  PII set up by 10~20% game-wise. I'm looking for other comparisons, but have any of you read any good articles comparing the 2?

And a i7 system is out of budget so....

I was asking if anyone had read any, not if you could be a good dog and go find some. Theres a difference, pull your head out of your ass.

Read that one. I like Tech Report's articles a lot because they compare so many different things in a single test and not just a few. The i5 750 is clearly the winner.

Someone posted a thread here with an AMD 955 and I (mistakenly) said the Q from Intel was faster, even though it really isn't, it's on par with the AMD. Then shortly thereafter I priced out a 955 system then saw that same i5 article a day later and redid the pricing and they're about the same but you get a lot more performance out of the i5.
