Pretty good Phishing scam email that I got

Got an email from Paypal

The email address is: Service@PayPal.com

It's basically a confirmation email that $440 was charged to my account.

Then it tells me at the bottom about disputing it "if it was in error click here"

Then it looks like its an ip address, then after the IP its /paypal/us

The IP is 210.176.7.226 and turned up as, "HONG KONG (SAR) KOWLOON CONVOY FINANCIAL SERVICES LTD"

I know it's fake because it says, "Dear PayPal Member" and it has no reciept or tansaction #

Does anyone know how I get a FAKE email from service@paypal.com ?

That is a good one, what i find really cool is that when i clicked on the link location godfather posted Opera immediately filled the page with a bright red background saying that the website had been reported for fraud.

ah it requires you to enter your paypal stuff. In that case how the fuck does anyone fall for that. I thought it would take any saved paypal cookie information and use that to steal ur account.

Try at least since online banking has been around. Prior to Paypal, plenty of scams asking your to verify your bank and/or credit card accounts.

You see the thing about the Internet, is it exists in other countries, and they don't have the same laws you do.

It's a lot to get your head around (the MPAA is still at odds with The Pirate Bay) but it's something you'll have to get used to.

Aha, I would never fall for that...probably because I always have less then $10 on my paypal and only add credit/debit cards when making a transaction(I take my CC number off after every transaction).
