Does it not have Component connectors on the TV?

if not, you'll probably have some adapters. On the Samsungs, they're cables with a USB-like connector on one end, and component connectors on the other...

at the very least the tv should have HDMI

but I don't see why it wouldn't have Com connection

Use an HDMI cable.  It will deliver video and audio, plus give you the best audio/video quality.  Then you will need to use the TV remote to change the source so you are on the input used by the xbox.

if you are using component

plug the 3 half colored plugs int he tv (red blue green) and plug the 2 fully colored plugs in. and  set the connector that goes into the xbox to hdtv. turn the xbox on, and put the tv on the AV channel

yeah i have been doing that but the TV isn't picking it up, it shows HDMI 1, which is for our freesat box, and TV, but nothing else unfortunatly. i don't know how to get it to pick up the fact that something else is plugged in.

only switches between HDMI1 and TV, the others don't show up, not even the SCART ones.

Is there a Source button on your remote?

Is there a source option in the TV menu? (Press menus or similar on the remote)

A HDMI socket usually has to be "activated" before you can use it, it's not plug and play like USB and other type of sockets, read the manual for the TV and it will explain how to activate or asign the HDMI output ...

luck, pure luck. stumbled upon an option to set up the ports which wasn't made obvious in the manual. got it running at 1080i on my 360. looks amazing.
