Reformatting, possibly Windows 7?

Its vista, and its the one that came with the laptop.

So - no idea about the LAN drivers. I wouldnt know how to - I figured it would just do that with the fresh windows install, but I guess not.

Okay, things are much smoother on the clean install.

However, Im still getting lots of freezes on firefox/itunes. They'll just freeze for 20-30 seconds and then resume. Could this be malware/spyware? Hardware issue?

This. What annoys me about it, is that they promote Home Premium, when you can get Professional at the same price through the same website for the same price. lulz.

What I don't get though, and can someone expand on what this means, is when they say "UPGRADE". What exactly do they mean by that?

Or you can check if your University supports the MSDNAA thing and has Windows 7 for download.

Yeah I made a whole thread about the upgrade thing, but it appears no one knows for sure. If it doesn't work as hoped I'll just pirate it. I also ordered Pro.

Hrmpf. It's really annoying when MS says stuff like that. Maybe they mean it's not the full box package thing, just the operating system? I dunno. I might email them about it.
