Hey folks,

I´m playing around with some OCing on my E 6600 again.
Right now I´m having a Thermaltake Golden Orb II cooler and as soon as I go over 3,0GHz my temps go up to about 64°(cpuz)
(tested with prime).
So, any recommendations for a new air cooler ?
Pricerange up to around 30 €.

Thanks.

I've got a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme sat on mine with no fan, running at 3.2Ghz just about hits 65*c in a stress test, doesn't go above 60 with 'standard' heavy loads.  Bung a fan on it and you can do whatever you want with it, probably wont fit your budget though and I'm sure there's better 'bang for buck' coolers been released since I got mine.

64°C is nothing, I'm running my E8500 at over 60°C 24/7 with a TRUE120 and dual 120s.

Once hit hits 70°C you should start worrying about more cooling.

I just looked into the Freezer 7 pro (looks like good bang for buck in my book)
and read somewhere it comes with the thermalpaste already "attached".
Good thing ? Bad thing ?

Good thing, but make sure to thoroughly scrape any existing paste of your CPU when you install it, using alcohol (or the Artic Cleaning solution) and a cotton swab.

(Conduct some Google searches for more ideas/tips.)
