Mozilla FF won't uninstall

As some of you may know from some previous posts firefox has been playing up with the downloads. Anyway I decided would reinstall it, so I went to my control panel, went to find it and clicked uninstall and no wizard pops up. I re-started my PC, tried again same proble. I tried to do it manually by finding the uninstall folder and running it from there, nothing happens, I also tried running it as admin.

Is there any other way/fix to do this?

Try uninstalling with CCleaner.

And if that doesn't work clean your registry (again with CCleaner) and try to uninstall it again.

Hmm tried both with Advanced SystemCare and nothing happened again.

It's not running when you try to uninstall it is it?

Double check in task manager.

Are you able to do a sys restore?.. go back a few days?

Nothing, hmm. Guess I should reformat maybe. Should I reformat with Vista 64 or wait for windows 7? Either way I am going to have to buy a new copy.

I know it sounds stupid, but try running the installer for FF. It may fix whatever is currently wrong, allowing you to uninstall and then do a fresh install. In fact, the newer installers often have repair or uninstall features built into them as well.
