I do not declare to be the greatest commander...actually, I'm average at best; however, last night I get on the <son> Warlord only server, it was the end of the round, the team was losing misserably, but I thought I would stick it out and play the next round even with the shitty team. WELL, and I guess I have no one to blame but myself for not taking the commander position for the new round, but I digress...the same asshat that lost the last round in specatacular fashion was commander during the new round. No big deal, right...WRONG. This tard starts to ask why his command ribbon, which he just recieved during the last round, isn't showing in BFHQ...mind you he's the commander. We are losing all of our flags, no uav, no arty, no resuppply...and this asshole (he graduated from asshat) is toggling in and out of BFHQ the entire time only to ask questions about his award(s). This probably sounds petty, but it really fucked me off! I wanted to scream, "USE THE SEARCH!!!!". Needless to say, I left the server only to go else where and get pwned

Yeah. I play on the <SoN> server alot and have seen some dumbass commanders there. I had a commander start screaming to me and all the other squad leaders in german cause we were losing. EA needs to fix the vote requirements to lessen the number of people required. Even idling commanders hardly ever get kicked.

lol gotta agree with you guys most commanders i end up with are asshats that very rarely use the scan feature & just do arty & use up most the supply drops repairing the toys he's standing right next to.if only you could be more surgical with your knife,i'd cut asshat into thier forehead lol.
if i thaught ea would listen i'd ask em to add rope to one to the kits so i could tie the fuckers to the back of a car & drag em round the map

I don't know how anyone even considering the commander position could not use the scan function. That's how I determine where I'm going to place the UAV, possibly drop arty, and then call out the location of enemy troops outside the UAV scope.

same here,when i command i stay in command view & soon as scans ready i'm spotting anyone near our guys or vehicles that look like thier on a mission to go nick our flags.i always encourage commanders to spot everything cause most the time you get so much of an advantage over the enemy team your nearly always win or at least put up a damn good fight to the last tickets.

although i have to say thati fucking hate commanders that spot everything all you ever here is enemy infantry spotted, enemy helicopter spotted etc etc its fucking annoying when your trying to play the game!esp if your on mec side with there shit voiceovers..theres good commanding then theres going to far

if you think thats funny imagine me an a mate as medics taking it in turns making each other kitless on the dragon valley airfield on a 64 server,running round like mongs for 2 rounds lol team mates was loving it,was well worth getting no points just to create few laughs,even had people killing themselves wanting to join in lol.
i'd love to have a full server running round kitless it'd make a funny as fuck frapps vid to post.

he's a smacktard. He's wasting the team's ability to fight effectively because he doesn't want to die. On the SF maps you have to move around to not get killed as commander. I love atv's for that. they are fast and you can still run some spec ops guy over and kill them. The heavy fighting vehicles need to be left for the guys who can use them without the distractions of commanding.

Today I hopped in the SAS Tank on Warlord to prevent an enemy spec ops guy getting in. Then someone jumped in the 50 cal spot and started screaming bail out. Which I did. I didnt' want the tank, just wanted to protect it for our team. We won that round and I got the gold medal as commander.

Using a vehicle to prevent the enemy from stealing it is one thing. It's another to waste it commanding the entire round from it. Specially when there are a limited number of vehicles to start with.

I've played commander quite a bit..the only other things i do is hide and repair my own assets..If done right it takes up all your time..The only time i would enter a vehicle like a tank or apc is if the other team was taking it and my team never took it...it happens..The commander position is not to be taken lightly as it could win or lose a game..

I've only recently started commanding, when i do i dedicate 90% of my game time to it. The only other jobs i'll do is repair my assets, or chip in if a big firefight comes my way. The rest of the time i'm hiding somewhere with the commander screen up.

And no i'm not master gunny yet but that doesn't make my a bad commander.

I think most mutiny votes are started by idiot players who either don't want the commander to get a medal because he is doing an average job or better at helping the team win, or they are unhappy because they didn't get to be commander because the commander outranks them.

I have only started one mutiny vote and that's because we were losing 250 to 100, our commander wasn't doing anything to help the team. He was off fighting and using all the assests for his benefit not the team's. This was on a mostly full 40+ player map. I guess he was trying to get some award or another. The mutiny didn't succeed.

All the mutiny votes against me have failed.
