you know when you're in a chopper and there's a circle on the HUD that flies around and sometimes disappears then flies back again but doesn't actually seem to do anything? Well, wtf is it? I've been trying to work it out but nothing makes sense. Please solve this conundrum, it is driving me mad.

- wtf is that floating circle on the helicopter display
It's a gauge to let you know how level you are when hovering off the ground. If you notice, it's just when you are close to the ground that the circle appears. the closer it is to the crosshairs, the closer to level you are.
You don't have to be close to the ground.
fair enuff, but seems pointles since you have the artificial hoprizon already...
closest helipad i think
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
No. It's just a level.
Its where the closest flag is i believe... every time i hover over a flag i see it.
Lol, why do people post random answers when the correct answer has been given already?
Ken's right, it shows how level the heli is when hovering.

Ken is sort of right but it can appear at any altitude. I had it over the carrier on Gator at 500m.MrAnderson wrote:

It isn't just a level, it is also a gauge of your speed and direction when you are close to hovering.
The US economy is a giant Ponzi scheme. And 'to big to fail' is code speak for 'niahnahniahniahnah 99 percenters'
Considering his title and his sig, this really made me chuckle.Zandermander wrote:

Ken had it right first time, it's so you know you have perfect level.

You're all wrong, Ken's sorta there.
It's for identifying when your upward thrust = downward gravity, IE you are perfectly stationary (in the Y co-ord).

no for how level you are, but if you are in a perfect hover, if will be centered and not moving.
its useless. only nubs hover, then get tv'd.

How do the "pros" repair and rearm on helipads then?
Rushing over them like a jet several times?
No. They stay above it.
Ha ha yeh, was always great fun dodging incoming TV missiles whilst repairing. A highlight of chopper whoringglobefish23 wrote:
