Why can't you aim a shotgun (like an S12K, M11-87, NOR982) on the stick aimer?

You can look down the ironsights, if that's what you're asking. I'm more curious to know how on earth every soldier on Battlefield is equipped with a binocular contacts with 2x zoom.

HAHA!! You need some precision aiming with a shotgun, eh? If you right-click you will zoom in a little bit, but I never use it with shotguns as it slows down your mobility.  The zoom is added in the game to give you an advantage in aiming and an incentive in using that gameplay feature.

You want an Iron Sight on a Shotgun? I think you may have missed the point of shotguns if that's the case lol

You can look down the sights for the shotgun in Call of Duty 2... and it's always a  waste of time.  Shotguns aren't MEANT for aiming.  They're just too inaccurate

Actually aiming with the shotgun will give you a little bit bettery accuracy. But if you have to aim with the shotgun to hit a distant target you may as well be using your pistol.

No, I mean why can't you aim a shotgun (not about the crosshair)?

Define "aim a shotgun."  I am not quite understaning what you're saying here.

Are you guys THAT thick-headed?

He is talking about looking down the sights, as you do with any other weapon. You know, right click, and look down the barrel at a bead to aim, instead of zooming in?

AFAIK all shotguns in game have iron sights.

But you can't use them, which is what this guy is talking about.

I dont use the sights the only reason I use the shotgun for defending a controlpiont in BF2.

Um, you actually need to aim at close range with a shotgun if you want to hit something, unless you are comfortable shooting from the hip in real life. Shotguns are not nearly as inaccurate in BF2. In BF2, shotguns are basically effective at 20 meters or less. In real life, they can be effective at 100 meters. Of course, shotguns are best at close range. Though, most assault rifles in BF2 are good at range and CQs, so why bother aiming with a shotgun. You will get pwned unless you're skilled with one, which sometimes isn't enough when you have some asshat who always gets a lucky head shot with his medic assault rifle.
