Basically, as the title states, I'd like to know if there are decent drivers for Windows 7 (64 bit editions). Back when Win XP 64 came out, I made the mistake of buying it OEM and found no drivers whatsoever. Currently, I'm running Windows XP Professional (32-bit) because I can't stand Vista.

Computer Specs:
Gigabyte Motherboard
Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50GHz
4GB RAM
2 SATA Hard Drives: 320GB and 1TB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
LG Lightscribe DVD Burner

If I upgrade to Windows 7, I'd like to get the most out of my gaming experience.

Thank you!

I haven't had any problems yet and the only thing my dad's had a problem with is one of our old printers that HP hasn't finished their driver for yet

I doubt you'll be having any issues with drivers at all ... I asked the same question months ago. Rule of thumb: If it works in Vista, it'll work in 7.

We have a newer Epson printer connected to my wife's computer running Win XP (32-bit) as well. I'm wondering how Win 7 will network with her computer. I'm contemplating getting Windows 7 Professional (64-bit).

See if you can find the driver on their website...

If the printer has Vista drivers, those probably work in 7 too.

Win7 is just vista with some visual tweaks.

My other question hasn't been answered...

Does anyone know if Win 7 will network good with Win XP Pro?

Thank you for all of your input!

You shouldn't have any real issues at all with the networking. I recall reading something saying Win7 would play nicer with XP over networks.

I realize you don't have Vista, too. I was merely saying look to see if your hardware is supported under Vista 64-bit. If it is, it'll be supported under Win 7 64-bit. Guaranteed.

Not always, printers want to be retarded and not work.  Vista drivers dont work on my Dad's 7 laptop

Just run the driver via compatability mode in the OS it last worked. I had some "issues" WITH THE WANKY LEXMARK DRIVERS but got the vista 64 bit one working a treat with the compatability dohicky in 7

I disagree. A lot of bugs are fixed in 7. Everything works in 7, even if there's a problem with the install of certain software the OS fixes it itself with an additional "compatibility reinstall".
