I'll never have to, at my school philosophy is a humanities course. I have no idea how it can be viewed as a social science.

EDIT- and explications of such length are easy. You do the reading and purge onto the page. When you get 500 words (3/4 a single spaces page) to explain those topics you hate your life 10x more.

Maybe a humanities, truthfully I don't know, I just took the class to fill in a requirement. I guess it would make more sense than a social science.
