use claymores on highly populuated servers on maps like Sharqi, Karkand nad just lay them in 'traffic' heavy areas like the alley in karkand right by the hotel, alternateively go on maps playing a 64 player server with a player limit of 32 or 16 even this increases the round time and gives you more of a chance to get it. i noobed hard to get my expert explosives badge. i only killed people using the claymores so i knew how many kills i had left to get ........ any way i hope i helped

Got mine on 3rd floor palace on SF Warlord map. Got Vet and Expert same round.

I did maniged to get 37 c4 kills I knew I need it 2 or 3 more 59 tikets left on karkand no problem wasjust about to drop claymore down what happens the f**** server crashed :-(

got my vet and expert on warlord - when i joined the game we only had the palace and i just defended using claymores on the most travled areas...lol...i really didnt expect tot he the exter but i did as the rest of my team kept killing them in other areas the map lasted longer than i thought it would

i just got my basic one:
i have to say, 50 ATVs wasn't enough to get veteran (yes, i went jihad-joe on sf to get it, caught 5 tankwhores. The person i killed in that photo i killed 10 times before that)

Jep, claymores are definitely the way to go. I'd also advise being an Engi on places like Wake or Kubra Dam. Put AT mines on the crests of hills, becuase the vehicle pilot won't see them as his vehicle is facing up towards the sky when climbing.
The right way to get your explosive badge is to go on karkand on a 32/64 map and plant claymores near all the main places you see your enemies go. That's how i did it.

DICE is kidding. 23 kills with exploxives for veteran and only lousy 20 for the veteran kit badge? It is much more easier to get the kit badge.
It is so easy to kill people with a gun. Forget mines, not enough vehilces which could drive over them. Forget C4, C4 is only useful in QCB. Claymores seem to be the only way. But mostly there are not enough enemies. Argh. Its really hard!

It is INCREDIBLY easy to get the explosives badges on Special Forces by playing the Warlord map in the palace. What i've noticed is placing C4 in a place near one of the flags and waiting for the otherside to come round and then explode the C4.
The only reason I haven't gotten my basic explosives yet is because I haven't bothered trying for it yet. But i'd personally say the easiest way is to play special forces, warlord map around the flags in the palace as a spec ops guy.

The trick isn't to place them directly in the path of the enemy (unless they've spotted you and you're running away from them), but instead to place them just around a corner or somesuch. They'll only typically be noticed when it's too late and they get a face full of ball bearings.Magnet41 wrote:

Throw some c4 on an apc or tank, drive into an area rich with enemies, jump out and hide, wait for the apc to disappear from your radar (if it disappears, it either exploded or the enemy took it, would turn blue if a friendly got it). Wait bout 5 secs (maybe more enemy getin in it), then detonate. That was one way that i got expert explosives and that Good Conduct medal in the same round.
I got my vet tossin down C4. My team was in a "Let's help this guy!" And stepped up defense keeping tickets level and giving me time.
After I told them I got it, we capped all the flags with a resounding HELL YEAH! from me.
I'm going to go on the same server for my expert this weekend.
