While playing Karkand as support I found myself in this situation: I was hit by a sniper bullet and managed to find cover. I called for a medic. There were four of them near me, each of them was holding his shiny new LEGO gun, some people call it "G36E"...
The medics obviously had nothing better to do than staring at.
Here are possible thoughts of the medics:
Medic 1: "Everybody look at me, I've got a G36E!!!!!!!!!!! It looks bloody cool!"
Medic 2: "OMGz mE aReZ TeH 1337 h4x0rZ i plaiehd Kounter-Strike 'til jesterday!!!!!!111111"
Medic 3: "I polished my boots this morning, too bad I forgot my high-heeled ones."
Medic 4: "I am the great Tauren chieftain of Atlantis whoohoooooohooo!!!!!!!!!!"
Three of the medics decided to run away after i while.
I gave the coup de grĂ¢ce to the remaining one.

I think the number of retarded medics has dramatically increased since the release of 1.22.
Patch 1.22 has undoubtedly improved BF2's balance but it seems like the little kids found a new toy.

Hahahaha, I love this post.

I have almost given up on team play other than the few people I always play with.  Call it conditioning.

The amount of medics on infantry maps is ridiculous.. even more ridiculous is that they will not heal you. I can scream for a medic and it will be rare that they come to you, you have to chase them down.

Want to know why there are more medics? the G36E is nasty, and all you have to do to heal yourself is to toss a pack down and run over it. That needs to be changed as it completely makes it impossible to kill them. At least in BF1942 they had to run with the pack out and it took time to heal.. not anymore it is insta-heal madness.

I start to shoot my gun at their feet.. if they do not realize that I am trying to get their attention after a few moments I start to aim higher...

Well, let's not forget that there are some SUPPORT guys that also are not helpful.

Playing on Mashtur this past week, I'm out of ammo ... a support guy is 10 meters from me.  I'm yelling "I need ammo"  "Running dry, need ammo".

He runs away from me, scales a ladder (with his shiny LEGO PKM) ... I follow him yelling "Running dry, need ammo"   "I'm bingo on ammo"

He lays down facing the Mosque.  I lay down looking right at him

"I NEED AMMO"
"I"M BINGO ON AMMO"
"RUNNING DRY, NEED AMMO"

He just runs away ....

I have found that when playing a non USA side, ie. Chinese or MEC, more support players tend to "ignore" calls for health and/or ammo. I believe that this may be happening becuase the player isn't paying attention to the chat/text log.

When playing the USA side, the support players have the conveniance of English voice overs so if they aren't paying attention to the chat/text log, they can at least hear in English "I'm Bingo on Ammo", or 'I need a Medic!"

When playing Chinese or MEC, you cant understand what they are saying so you really have to pay attention to the chat log.

What rank was this support guy, and were you playing non-USMC?  I must confess, during my newb days, I was wondering what this grunt was doing in front of my face.  Took a little while to understand MEC/PLA talk, or understand the mini-map icons.

On topic, where I play, I have no problem finding medic bags.  My problem is getting medals because of all the Medics and Support.

You can turn off the voice function that sends the commands in Chinese or Arabic, so everything comes through in English.

I play medic a fair amount, but if the requester doesn't show up within the map area of my hud, I'm not chasing them down.  Medics already have enough problems trying to run down the fucking asshats that call for a medic and then take off running.

They need to add a "Medic here!" option to the como rose.

Then the dead bodies can crawl to you for revive.

To the original poster, the main problem is the selfishness of the medics. They get 1 point per 100% heal, which may take 1-3 people to attain. If they wait for you to die, they get 2 points instantly.

Also, the G36E is primarily a longer range gun, as it lacks auto. The medics are often unwilling to get in closer and do their job on maps like Karkand due to them using that gun. If you use an AK101 or L85 you can be very effective on Karkand.

My suggestion - swap the G36E and C over.

That's not much of an excuse in my book when the radar circle shows you exact who is hurt or out of ammo.  And after the first 100 hours of playing the game I now know quite well what the Chinese and MEC calls are for both!

I think the problem is worse with support lately.  I don't know how many times lately I've asked for ammo right in front of some dork and get nada.  I shoot at people's feet, I jump up and down in front of them, nada.  I was playing medic a couple nights ago and I had a 17 kill streak going and was down to 3 clips of pistol ammo.  2 support clowns running around right next to me and I could have had $1,000 bills coming out of my nose and they still wouldn't poop out a simple ammo bag.

Hehe...As far as my experience goes, it's the opposite.  At least when it comes to karkand.  I can't be healed (which is great) or revived (which can get bloody annoying) enough.  There have been times that I've prayed to the gods, did a rain dance and talked to the screen...all in the hopes that I would not be revived.

The reason being.  I would be lying face down on the concrete and sure enough, medics would make like a bunch of Rambo's and come charging in to revive me.  Which is all well and good, but when certain doom is only two inches away in the form of a friggin tank and an apc!!  My question to all the medics out there is why do you choose to make us your personal reviving pinyatta.

Well hang around me, I toss my medkits/ammo packs all the time.  I'll even kill the guy who shot you before reviving you.

Hmm, TK for a medic pack...That's a good idea.  Usually when I hear the "I need a medic here" lines, I run towards the person needing healed.  They run directly away from me.  Ill throw down a pack or two before I head back to whatever I was doing before.  I wont chase them down.    But if you shoot at me, there's absolutely no way I'm throwing anything for you.  If you're at that point, I'm not going to join you.

WTF you expect teamplay on BF2? From random people?

Really now...who are you kidding...be real here.

You should be lucky they are not TKing you. Or just running around being idiots.

And for the record, *prepatch* the G36E was arguably* the best AR.

*(note - arguably. as it, quite possibly so, but if you think otherwise, you are wrong but are entitled to that opinion. G36E is wicked accurate at all ranges, and under virtually all conditions. a single 3 round burst will leave an unarmored opponent with a sliver; two bursts will kill anything. and i have been taken out by bursts at sniper range. )

All Voice English or something like that in the Sound Option.

When I was going for my vet First Aid and Resupply badge, I was throwning medic/support bags left and right.  I basically created a carpet of them, so that if someone got shoot, and took one step they were healed.

@ the person who said that medics get 1 point per 100% heal, I thought is was 1 point if the person has leass the 50% health.

It may have been at one time, but now it's just like repair points.  You must perform a complete heal to get the point.  Also, like repairs it is cumulative.  If you heal some one at 50% health, then another person at 25% health, you will get 1 heal point and be 25% on your way to the next one.

You should play on some different servers man, I have a lot of fun healing people when I'm a medic.  I think medic is the most fun to play, but I also like earning awards so I don't play medic much anymore.  Soon I will though!  Trying to get expert.  But anyway, play in some cool servers and people will sprint as far as they possibly can to heal you.  I know I would.
