Damn I can't wait to be in and do stuff like this

(Did read the article, title says enough tbh)

I still can't run the freaking 2.5km in 13:30 to pass the entry. Well I'm doing it on a treadmill and it's just not normal. I'm doing 11km/h which is freaking slow but for some reason I get so much more tiered on a treadmill than normal running. The only reason I use gay treadmills is I don't have any distance I know is 2.5 km I can time myself on.

Anyway, I just converted this. 26 miles is ~41 km. That's as far as I road on my bike on that long trip. Geez, no way I could run that. Walk it with a heavy pack yes but run? No way

Then why don't you just use google maps and measure 2.5km on there.

Simple enough?

That's the entry requirements. You have to shape up quick after that.

The requirements are:

1.5 miles in 13:30
2 pull ups (palms toward you)
44 sit-ups

I thought they would be much more rigorous. I'm just in decent shape and I can blow all of those out of the water...

ed: @ menzo, I think im about the same

You should be able to run a lot faster especially with your frame. On a good day I do a mile in about 6:10-15. That's about a 3:45 per KM. (probably more like a 4:00 avg'd over a longer run)

I have to agree with that, I mean I'm not in the peak of physical fitness (still better than I was a month or two) ago but still that strikes me as a rather easy requirement wise.
